The training takes months, but the payoff is huge if you finish the Baltimore Marathon. It's part of the Baltimore Running Festival which offers a big pay off for the city to the tune of $13-million.

We are excited to provide ALARC members and the Minnesota running community with a web site with some great features!  If you are a member of ALARC, don't forget to create a login (by clicking on Register in the upper right corner!). Once we verify that you are a current member, you will have access to our Members Only features, which include the directory, copies of ALARC's Weekly Newsletter from Kathy and Todd's Weekly Runs email.  Students of the Marathon Training Program can log in and interact with facilitators and other students to make the most of their training time.

ALARC is an organization that believes physical fitness is an essential aspect of living a healthy lifestyle. As the largest marathon running club in America, we promote this philosophy through organized events and social functions. We offer organized long and short runs; track and hill workouts; group trips to distant marathons; and various cross training activities. In addition, for the past 24 years we have offered the most successful Marathon Training Program in the U.S. It is designed to educate, train, and support individuals interested in completing their first marathon. This program has trained over 2200 hopeful marathoners from the ages of 16-73 and only nine have not completed their first marathon. 2010 Spring Marathon Training Program
The Most Successful Marathon Training Program begins soon! The ALARC Marathon Training Program begins March 10 with Grandma's Marathon as the target. This year we are offering a Head Start option for runners who wish to run Stillwater, Rochester or Minneapolis. Head Start begins February 20, with Saturday runs only, then pick up the regular training program on March 10.   read more...

The year 'round ALARC Core and ALARC Speed classes offer three times weekly training for all levels and goals of conditioning.
